I remember crash bandicoot being the first game I ever played which I had on playstation 1. It was given to me along with the console by my uncle (John Roberts) who at the time was working with Sony on the the game. I also recieved Spyro from him as well. I also played a lot of Tekken games and also the 1st Time Crysis game which I had a plug in gun controller for. I soon moved to cornwall when I was about 6/ 7 and recieved a Playstation 2 along with a game called Baulders Gate Dark Alliance. This was the first kind of RPG fantasy game I had played and I absolutely loved this game, although I had a knack while i was a kid of scratching my games and leaving them lying around and this game sadly stopped working. They did go on to release a sequel though which I never played. Next on the PS2 would be the lord of the rings trilogy. Now usually games based on films usually suck, but I think this one was the only game I've actually enjoyed that was based on a film. I think it was because it had the same events that took place in the game, also the same characters. Also there were some backstorys and things that wasnt included in the film, but were in the game. Around this time as well I played a lot of GTA San Andreas.
Jumping a head a little too 2005 a game called fear was released. It was a first person shooter horror game, which to date is still my favorite horror game. At the time I think I was about 11 at this game gave me nightmares on my first play....
This was also a time when I started to see the light in pc gaming and started to ditch the console. Me and Dad started getting really involved in buying new pc parts to try and make games run better, we were constantly selling parts from the pc and buying better ones, fitting them and enjoying running the games with slightly more FPS, it was until just over a year ago where we sat down and actually built a gaming rig scratch me and him, even now we still sell bits from it and buy new ones.
This day and age I tend to stick to first person shooters being my top game choice, I'm really into the Battlefield franchise and recently picked up Battlefield 4. I play a few strategy games like Rome 2, what pc gamer doesnt enjoy strategy? I'm not a big fan of the MMO's which is weird concidering I want to get into concept art, I think I just enojoy creating the worlds and setting for them. But MMO's are one of those kind of games I would like to get into but eveytime I try they just seem boring to me. The games I'm currently playing consist of Battlefield 4, Rome 2 Total War, Diablo 3.
