Designing a Game by Game Space Type

Designing a Game By Game Space Type

In groups we had to design a game using a 'game space type' in which ours was split screen. Each group is to produce designs for a game based around one of t he types of game-space. The Game space type should be a feature of the games mechanics.

My roll in the group is to provide visuals for the game. Other peoples rolls consists of research, and the designing of different powerups.

this is the art work I came up with for the game. The group said the art style I go with is totally up to me, so I've gone for the 1990's pix elated look as I think it fits well with the iso-metrik look, and it makes it a lot easier to create. To achieve the pixel effect in photoshop I just had to draw everything as I normally would at a high res, then when I was finished go to Image, Image Size and then change the pixel size to around 500 as the original was 4000 wide, but I had to make sure I chose from the drop down 'Nearest Neighbor (presserve hard edges)'. Once I had done this I could rescale to the original size of 4000 wide but make sure I enabled Nearest Neibor again to stop the pixel's from going blurry.
